Now known as Lady Jayne


It was my birthday on Wednesday - 55!!! cannot believe how time has flown. It says 22 in my knickers and thats what Im sticking to.

Hubby has just given up helping run the cricket league due to horrendous amount of work along with timewasting e mails asking stupid questions. All he was doing was sleeping and working on the laptop. We had a spare room full of trophys that he had built from parts thus saving the league £600 and during on of our discussions regarding his decision I stated I was always runner up - cricket came first. So on my birthday he presented me with a trophy which says 'no longer a runner up now a winner' - dont know who was more choked up him or me.

I had a lovely day, lunch with Mum, trip to Hobbycraft - which Mum loved. Then we went to see Jenni and Michael. She presented me with a certificate to say I am now Lady Jayne Egan! and a huge bar of chocolate.

Mum gave me gladioli's, Jen gave me chrysanth's, I bought myself roses(the day before) and then Gareth and Carrie turned up with lilies - I ran out of vases in the end! but I dont mind its wonderful.

Couldnt have had a better day.

May Blues

  Bethany went for a wander with Grandad the other day and they had a fabulous time. Dont know which of them was most tired lol.  So much needs doing and Im struggling with my mobility. Thank goodness my frozen shoulder has finally defrosted or I really would be struggling. I invested in a cheap trail camera, and with Michaels help took 3000 photos of the living room ceiling. It was hilarious! Followed by 200 of the top of my head over the sewing machine after he went home. Above is an actual photo of the bird feeders but I hadnt got the hang of placement then.   This wee one Lady Lily Bud is coming on in leaps and bounds. I havent seen her much as her and Mummy are enjoying baby groups and visiting friends after or year in the wilderness. I have a pile of things to finish on my work table so Must get on with it. I have set myself the challenge of finishing things so they can be packed up out of the way.  Hoping the weather stays dry so I can get on with the garden.

Looking Forward To Better Days

This is where I should be doing a craft fair next weekend. I was so looking forward to it. Its a local monastery that the community saved from destruction and is now used for events,  So I am having to be more pro-active in selling, donating and passing on my makes. Problem is I cannot stop making things but my frozen shoulder has slowed that down to a crawl. Sleep is a rare commodity in this house so there a lot of hours to fill.   My Christmas pressie off my son this year is a subscription to Country living magazine which I adore, having real paper magazine is such a luxury. The subscription is amazingly cheap and I got a lovely gift of a Vintage interiors magazine - its big and thick with wonderful photography in it.  The process of emptying the house is still happening and the refusal to have anything coming in is going well too. Hopefully the charity shops will re-open soon and I can clear the hall. All in all not too bad here despite whats going on outside my door. We rarely leav

Is it January or Thursday, not sure.

John and I have been keeping busy and have made a ton of things for when I eventually get to do a craft fair. Apart from the coaster bases everything is rescued and re-used. Friends send me things they no longer need and they know I can use. I made a nice box full of  the hangers with Merry Christmas on and various sayings plus a whole load of other decorations and donated them to Woollies for the world charity. I cannot just sit and with the whole problem I am having with my right arm cross stitch is about all I can do. Its improvong slowly sohopefully knitting will be an option soon.
