Watch this space!

I am taking part in a vertical growing challenge on Frugaldoms wonderous forum   www.frugalforums.co.uk and this is my start. I used a canvas photo gifted by a friend - aimed to be hung but didnt like it much so re-cycled it. Hubby was laughing when I asked him to make me a framework, he just dug this out turned it round and Bobs your auntie. 

 So far have a couple of strawberries in but a friend is sending me some alpine strawbs and am going to put some baby leeks in and spring onions too.
These are my secret weapon in growing courgettes and usually do very well in the tyres. have topped them up with homemade compost which has saved a lot of cash this month. Cant see the point in spending huge amounts on growing food as it kinda defeats the object. I have spent a grand total of £10 this year on the garden including using a £5 off voucher online for some interesting seeds.

  Bethany went for a wander with Grandad the other day and they had a fabulous time. Dont know which of them was most tired lol.  So much needs doing and Im struggling with my mobility. Thank goodness my frozen shoulder has finally defrosted or I really would be struggling. I invested in a cheap trail camera, and with Michaels help took 3000 photos of the living room ceiling. It was hilarious! Followed by 200 of the top of my head over the sewing machine after he went home. Above is an actual photo of the bird feeders but I hadnt got the hang of placement then.   This wee one Lady Lily Bud is coming on in leaps and bounds. I havent seen her much as her and Mummy are enjoying baby groups and visiting friends after or year in the wilderness. I have a pile of things to finish on my work table so Must get on with it. I have set myself the challenge of finishing things so they can be packed up out of the way.  Hoping the weather stays dry so I can get on with the garden.

Looking Forward To Better Days

This is where I should be doing a craft fair next weekend. I was so looking forward to it. Its a local monastery that the community saved from destruction and is now used for events,  So I am having to be more pro-active in selling, donating and passing on my makes. Problem is I cannot stop making things but my frozen shoulder has slowed that down to a crawl. Sleep is a rare commodity in this house so there a lot of hours to fill.   My Christmas pressie off my son this year is a subscription to Country living magazine which I adore, having real paper magazine is such a luxury. The subscription is amazingly cheap and I got a lovely gift of a Vintage interiors magazine - its big and thick with wonderful photography in it.  The process of emptying the house is still happening and the refusal to have anything coming in is going well too. Hopefully the charity shops will re-open soon and I can clear the hall. All in all not too bad here despite whats going on outside my door. We rarely leav

Is it January or Thursday, not sure.

John and I have been keeping busy and have made a ton of things for when I eventually get to do a craft fair. Apart from the coaster bases everything is rescued and re-used. Friends send me things they no longer need and they know I can use. I made a nice box full of  the hangers with Merry Christmas on and various sayings plus a whole load of other decorations and donated them to Woollies for the world charity. I cannot just sit and with the whole problem I am having with my right arm cross stitch is about all I can do. Its improvong slowly sohopefully knitting will be an option soon.
